We interviewed Kuba Zwolinski, Founder & CEO at SNOWDOG
i4: Tell us about where do you work and what is your position.
Kuba: I work as a CEO at SNOWDOG. However I’m still responsible for some key projects and actively involved in process of designing and planning Magento e-commerce strategy combined with mobile technologies.
i4: What is the thing you like most about working in eCommerce?
Kuba: It’s a live thing. E-commerce is evolving all the time, every project brings something new and unique. New technologies and solutions appear every day, merging online and offline channels into one seamless customer experience. E-commerce is an extremely wide term – it covers everything from a process of sale thru marketing to advanced customer relation management, so it also requires multidisciplinary approach.
i4: Within the eCommerce universe, tell us whom do you know and what would you highlight from them?
Kuba: There are many e-commerce professionals I follow, a lot of entrepreneurs and developers from local and global markets. Just cant think about any of them as the only one, better than others.
i4: Do you know any eCommerce platform? If yes, which one and what is the best about it?
Kuba: Magento & amazing community of technical and business related people gathered around the platform
i4: Regarding the news and changes happened in the last year in the eCommerce universe, can you tell us which ones do you think are the most relevant or interesting.
Kuba: New technologies bringing online shopping experience to traditional retail. Walking in the store, choosing goods and buying it online, in the same time from your phone, becomes a reality. Low energy bluetooth beacons technology brings tons of new solutions mixing online and offline worlds.
i4: If you could give an advice to anyone starting an online store, what would it be?
Kuba: Think about what’s your product, your customer and your budget Standalone platforms are not good for everyone, especially beginners. If you don’t know how to start but have a great product / good market, take your products, drop them into some SaaS platform and just start selling in few minutes. There will be time later to think about more sophisticated solutions
i4: What could you tell us about the future of your company? Which are your future steps/goals?
Kuba: We switch to mobile more and more. Percentage of mobile customers in store we manage is growing fast and soon will can be equal or higher than people buying from desktops. We also focus on less traditional e-commerce variations – for example Magento based in-store kiosks with iBeacons support…
i4: And the tricky question… What do you think about interactiv4?
Kuba: Creative team full of ideas for awesome e-commerce projects. Sometimes a little bit crazy, but thats why we’re friends…
