Meeting Alexander Galtsow, VP Communications and Partnership at aheadworks
We asked Alexander Galtsow, the VP Communications and Partnership at aheadWorks, some questions about using a Magento platform for eCommerce.
i4: Tell us about where do you work and what is your position.
Galtsow: I coordinate partnerships at aheadWorks and spend most of my time nurturing our partner relations, as well as looking for new opportunities and areas of cooperation with like-minded professionals.
i4: What is the thing you like most about working in eCommerce?
Galtsow: The eCommerce sector evolves at an extremely fast pace. It is truly exciting to witness these changes and, at times, become a tiny part of them.
i4: Within the eCommerce universe, tell us whom do you know and what would you highlight from them?
Galtsow: Without going into particulars, I’d like to mention all aheadWorks partners, who do a tremendously great job at assisting merchants from all over the world in reaching their goals.
i4: Do you know any eCommerce platform? If yes, which one and what is the best about it?
Galtsow: I do know quite a few, though Magento certainly holds a special place. The best thing about Magento is indubitably its one-of-a-kind ecosystem, consisting of a great deal of passionate and dedicated experts, each contributing to the evolution of the platform.
i4: Regarding the news and changes happened in the last year in the eCommerce universe, can you tell us which ones do you think are the most relevant or interesting.
Galtsow: – The release date of the long-awaited Magento 2.0 finally announced.
– Magento becoming a part of eBay Enterprise and, consequently, considerable changes in Magento leadership.
i4: If you could give an advice to anyone starting an online store, what would it be?
Galtsow: That would depend on the scale of a business, though one thing I can certainly recommend is to choose Magento as a platform.
i4: What could you tell us about the future of your company? Which are your future steps/goals?
Galtsow: We will continue working on improving our catalog of products and services through in-house development, as well as cooperation with our partners.
i4: And the tricky question… What do you think about interactiv4?
Galtsow: I’ve been in contact with Ignacio for some time and was glad to meet Kimberely at Imagine in person, it was great to hear that you, guys, joined forces. Definitely looking forward to formalizing the partnership between our companies.
